Red the colour of Love, Passion, Confidence and Power

If you are a full time glasses wearer, or just experimenting with seductively popping them on for reading the restaurant menu on a date, a pair of striking red glasses is a must in every woman’s eyewear wardrobe!

The power of colour worn on the face in make up and eyewear has more impact on our overall look than any other part of the body – see the team pic above!

There are so many gorgeous shades of red from deep and rich, to light and bright.

So which red is for you?

As with most colours, there is a shade to suit most people. You just need to find the right one. Possibly one of the most important things to consider is your colouring when selecting which shade of red to go for. Those with a warm tones in their skin and hair such as auburn, strawberry blonde and ginger will look incredible in red eyewear with a warm or yellow hint to it such as tomato red or orange-red (see Linda below )

Where as those with cool tones to their hair- grey, white or salt and pepper will look incredible in a blue-based red like raspberry or cherry red.

If you have a lot of contrast to your look – dark hair, porcelain skin and clear striking eyes for example, the brighter, clearer shades of red with high shine finishes will be perfect for you. (see image below)

If your hair is dark blonde, maybe with highlights or even mousy, a softer red will be  better for you and frames with matt finishes/low sheen will be more flattering.

Spring/ Summer 2019- It’s going to be RED HOT this season!

Red is also a huge show stopping fashion trend this season in all its beautiful hues; from bright sunshine red to the deeper rusty reds!

If you feel wearing red is too much for you, then accessorising with a splash of red in your glasses or sunglasses can be a great way to add some red to your overall look this season.
