Hello! I’m Eva Dave and I am so glad you are reading this.
As an Optometrist and glasses wearer myself, I always felt disillusioned with the choice of eyewear available on the high street, and the lack of styling advice and training within our industry.
I had a strong desire to change the traditional Optical model from clinical to holistic— to one that not only focuses on improving sight, but also enhances self esteem and confidence, by creating an eyewear selection experience that people could actually enjoy.
In 2011, my fellow Optometrist husband, Sam, and I, were presented with the opportunity to start our own Practice, shortly after which I trained as a colour and image consultant to begin the process of bringing our vision to life. We then began scouring the globe in search of unique, handmade eyewear, crafted by independent artisans…eyewear that was finally exciting to wear!
By 2014, after spending 18 months perfecting our Eyewear Styling process, the proprietary Eyewear Styling Consultation system that I now teach to Eyecare Professionals and Optical Practices around the world was born.
In less than 3 years we transformed our Practice from a traditional Market Town Practice to a destination Eyewear Styling Boutique that attracts a waiting list of upscale clientele. Our average order value increased from £120 to well over £1200 and, most importantly, we were finally giving people a new way to think about their eyewear that increases self-confidence and results in clients feeling good about themselves.
Since then, I have been on a mission to share this new way of experiencing eyewear with Eyecare Professionals worldwide, so that together we may reach more people, and transform more lives.
